Automating Hubspot
If you are here, you probably already know how great Hubspot is! Getting data into Hubspot starts with an email and pretty easy in most situations. Most. So when is it not?
Well, they say 25% of the web is powered by WordPress. As expected, there is a Hubspot specific plugin that provides you with a Hubspot hosted form; but lacks integration with the millions of other plugins in the WordPress repository? There are thousands of scheduling tools, checkout carts, and other plugins that it would be nice to get that data out of too.
Here is what you will need:
- Any plugin with email alerts.
- A Zapier account. (Free is OK)
- Hubspot account. (Again, free is OK)
For this example I am going to use the popular scheduling plugin Bookly.
We are using the paid version of Bookly that allows us to send an email to both the customer and the employee on booking completion.
What we will be setting up first is an email parser. Zapier will provide you with an unique email that we will be forwarding all our confirmation emails to.
This email can be changed while in setup to something a little bit easier to remember at the top.
Now for the MAGIC!
Let’s setup our WordPress plugin to send email to the email that Zapier provided earlier. One of the main things to make note of is the automated email should be formatted similarly for this to work
